Step-by-Step: How to Clean Your Vessel

Before you can get creative, you need a clean slate. Here is the easiest, mess-free way to prep your jar:

1. The Freezer Method: Place your finished candle (with about 1cm of wax left) in the freezer for 2-3 hours. The cold causes the wax to shrink and pull away from the glass.

2. The "Pop": Use a butter knife to gently press down on one edge of the wax; it should pop out in one or two clean pieces, but be careful you do not scratch the inside of the jar.

3. The Finishing Touch: Remove the metal wick sustainer and wash the jar with warm, soapy water to remove any lingering fragrance oils or soot.
