Penhali Perfume
Penhali is for anyone who appreciates a bit of mystery. It’s a truly shared fragrance that doesn't feel confined to one gender; it simply smells high-end and incredibly inviting. You wear this when you want a scent that feels like a private luxury, one that only reveals itself to the people you let get close. It’s for the person who is entirely comfortable in their own skin and doesn't need to shout to be noticed.
The Composition
This is a rich, spiced floral fragrance that carries a warm, indulgent weight and moves beautifully throughout the day.
The Opening: A bright, sophisticated shimmer of Grapefruit and Bergamot. It’s a clean, fresh introduction that perfectly clears the air and sets the stage for the deeper notes to follow.
The Heart: A deep, spiced Rose. This isn't a delicate or powdery flower; it’s a rich, jammy bloom wrapped in the warmth of Cardamom and Saffron. It feels smooth, aromatic, and deeply comforting.
The Base: A smooth finish of Oud and Sandalwood. It settles into a rich, resinous warmth that gives off an impression of quiet luxury and soft leather, staying close to the skin as a grounded signature.
Behind the Blend
When blending this fragrance, I focused entirely on the balance between the saffron and the rose to ensure the scent stays lush and sophisticated without ever becoming overwhelming.
Most fragrances with a fresh opening tend to fade quickly, but Penhali is built to last. By using a higher concentration of rich, resinous base oils, the scent naturally locks onto your skin and stays active well into the evening. If you're looking for a distinctive, captivating scent that feels entirely your own, this is your bottle.
It's important to spritz your perfume on the areas of the body that are naturally warm, such as your wrists, the nape of your neck, behind your knees, behind your ear, and inside your elbows.
Resist rubbing your wrists together. Fragrance should sit on the skin to mix with your natural oils, rubbing wrists together breaks down the top notes which means they will fade and evaporate quickly.
Fragrance binds to the oils in your skin, so applying it after your body oil creates a better surface for the scent molecules to bind to.
If like me you like to spritz your clothes then go for it, just remember that it's a different olfactory experience than when you correctly apply perfume to your skin.
Rule of thumb: If you can wash the fabric, then spritz away, just be careful of the delicate fabrics & some perfumes may stain!
