Mr Sam Aftershave -Inspired by Penhaligons
There are men who enter a room, and then there are men who change the temperature of it. Mr Sam is for the latter. This isn't a "polite" aftershave designed to blend into the background. It is a bold, spicy, and fiercely sophisticated fragrance for the man who is comfortable being the center of gravity.
It is deep, it is luxurious, and as the name suggests, it is blazing. If you are looking for subtle, you’re in the wrong place. This is for the man who wants his arrival to be felt and his departure to be regretted.
The Olfactory Experience
This is a high-contrast build that moves from a sharp, spiced heat to a heavy, addictive finish.
The Strike: It leads with an immediate hit of Cardamom and Cinnamon. It’s a warm, electric opening that signals energy and intent. It doesn't ask for attention; it commands it.
The Heat: As it settles, the heart reveals a dry, masculine spice of Black Pepper, Saffron, and Cumin. It’s sophisticated, complex, and slightly dangerous.
The Foundation: This is where the scent becomes legendary. It settles into a heavy, intoxicating base of Tobacco and Vanilla, anchored by Cedar and Patchouli. It’s a "skin-like" warmth that feels expensive, permanent, and entirely masculine.
The Heart & Soul Authority
I didn’t formulate this to be another generic bottle on a department store shelf. I made this in my Northamptonshire shop for the men who are tired of smelling "clean" and want to start smelling "significant."
The 24-Hour Momentum: This is an "Overtime" scent. We use high-intensity perfume oils to ensure that the tobacco and spice linger long after the sun goes down.
The Luxury Disruptor: Why pay for a logo when you can own the atmosphere? This is the £200 experience liberated from the ego of the designer markup.
The Statement: It’s bold, it’s spiced, and it’s the ultimate power move.
It's important to spritz your aftershave on the areas of the body that are naturally warm, such as your wrists, the nape of your neck, behind your knees, behind your ear, and inside your elbows.
Resist rubbing your wrists together. Fragrance should sit on the skin to mix with your natural oils, rubbing wrists together breaks down the top notes which means they will fade and evaporate quickly.
Fragrance binds to the oils in your skin, so applying it after your body oil creates a better surface for the scent molecules to bind to.
If like me you like to spritz your clothes then go for it, just remember that it's a different olfactory experience than when you correctly apply perfume to your skin.
Rule of thumb: If you can wash the fabric, then spritz away, just be careful of the delicate fabrics & some perfumes may stain!
