Mr Sam Aftershave -Inspired by Penhaligons
Mr Sam is for anyone who prefers to set the tone rather than blend into the background. This isn't a faint, polite aftershave designed to go unnoticed. It is a bold, rich, and deeply sophisticated fragrance built for those who are entirely comfortable standing out. It is warm, complex, and memorable, ideal for anyone who wants a fragrance that makes a definitive statement.
The Composition
This fragrance is a beautiful study in contrast, moving smoothly from a sharp, vibrant heat to a rich, addictive finish.
The Opening: It leads with an immediate hit of Cardamom and Cinnamon. It’s a warm, lively introduction that feels incredibly focused and sets a confident tone right from the first spray.
The Heart: As the initial warmth settles, the core reveals a dry, complex spice blend of Black Pepper, Saffron, and Cumin. It feels refined, deeply aromatic, and genuinely distinctive.
The Base: The true depth comes in the dry-down. It settles into a heavy, comforting base of Tobacco and Vanilla, anchored by Cedarwood and Patchouli. It leaves a rich, woody warmth that clings beautifully to your skin and clothes.
Behind the Blend
I hand-pour this in my Northamptonshire shop for anyone who is tired of the watery, generic "clean" scents found in every department store and wants a fragrance with real substance.
Exceptional Endurance: We use a high concentration of premium fragrance oils to ensure the rich tobacco and spice notes don't just fade away by lunchtime. This blend easily carries you from the morning through to the end of the evening.
True Affordable Luxury: Why pay a massive premium for a designer logo when you can get the exact same high-end experience? We’ve stripped away the marketing markups so you can enjoy a complex, premium fragrance as part of your daily routine.
The Verdict: Most fragrances on the high street play it safe. Mr Sam is the exact opposite. It’s a bold, beautifully blended signature scent that refuses to be ignored. If you’re ready for a fragrance with real weight, this is your bottle.
It's important to spritz your aftershave on the areas of the body that are naturally warm, such as your wrists, the nape of your neck, behind your knees, behind your ear, and inside your elbows.
Resist rubbing your wrists together. Fragrance should sit on the skin to mix with your natural oils, rubbing wrists together breaks down the top notes which means they will fade and evaporate quickly.
Fragrance binds to the oils in your skin, so applying it after your body oil creates a better surface for the scent molecules to bind to.
If like me you like to spritz your clothes then go for it, just remember that it's a different olfactory experience than when you correctly apply perfume to your skin.
Rule of thumb: If you can wash the fabric, then spritz away, just be careful of the delicate fabrics & some perfumes may stain!
