Essenza-Inspired by Aqua Di Parma Colonia

Essenza-Colonia Perfume

Essenza is for the person who has realised that uncomplicated clarity is the ultimate power move. This isn't about luxury you have to buy; it’s about the luxury you embody. When you wear this, you aren't putting on a fragrance; you’re putting on a Boundary of Order. You become the eye of the storm, the only person in the room who looks like they have everything under control, simply because they do.

The Architecture

This is a "White-Light" fragrance. It’s sharp, structural, and aggressively clean.

  • The Strike: A cold, zesty snap of Bergamot and Neroli. It doesn't "whisper" freshness; it demands it. It’s the olfactory equivalent of a cold glass of water in a feverish room.

  • The Heart: The "Linen Effect." Jasmine and Lily of the Valley create a sophisticated, airy frame. It smells like high-status discipline, the interior of a private gallery at dawn.

  • The Foundation: This is where the "Old Money" grit lives. Vetiver and Oakmoss grounded by a base of Amber. It smells like sun-dried earth and tailored silk. It’s the scent of a person who values heritage but doesn't live in the past.

The Disruptive Truth

The industry has lied to you, telling you that "fresh" scents have to be weak. I fixed that in my Northamptonshire studio. By anchoring the citrus in Patchouli and Amber, I’ve given the "Colonia" actual stamina.

On a woman, this is a sharp, chic middle finger to the sugary-sweet mainstream. On a man, it is the absolute standard of architectural style. If you’re ready to stop performing and start presiding, this is your bottle.

  • It's important to spritz your perfume on the areas of the body that are naturally warm,  such as your wrists, the nape of your neck, behind your knees, behind your ear, and inside your elbows.

Resist rubbing your wrists together. Fragrance should sit on the skin to mix with your natural oils, rubbing wrists together breaks down the top notes which means they will fade and evaporate quickly.

Fragrance binds to the oils in your skin, so applying it after your body oil creates a better surface for the scent molecules to bind to.

If like me you like to spritz your clothes then go for it, just remember that it's a different olfactory experience than when you correctly apply perfume to your skin.

Rule of thumb: If you can wash the fabric, then spritz away, just be careful of the delicate fabrics & some perfumes may stain!
